Code of Behaviour

We pride ourselves on running an open, welcome and friendly club.

We strive to maintain a positive, supportive and inclusive attitude between members and we have spent many years building a positive reputation within the local community.

To help preserve what we have achieved, and enhance the reputation that the Club has, members and the committee are expected to observe a few rules of behaviour. The following code of behaviour applies to all interactions a member may have whether in-person or via any digital media.

Code Of Behaviour - Members:

TPC members are expected to:

  • be kind, courteous and positive towards each other
  • to treat everyone with respect
  • act in the best interests of the Club, its objectives and its members
  • act as an ambassador for the Club and preserve its good reputation
  • make constructive suggestions to improve the Club whilst observing the good behaviours detailed above
  • use the group chat on WhatsApp for positive, supportive, respectful and friendly photography related conversations and meet-ups. Healthy debates are natural and welcomed, but kindness is required.
  • on Facebook, Instagram and other social media channels be positive, supportive, respectful and friendly. Avoid getting drawn into or re-posting abusive or extreme views and discussions.

The committee will ask a member to leave a meeting if their behaviour is considered to be unacceptable.

The committee reserve the right to cancel or refuse the membership of any person who, in the opinion of the Committee, is in serious breach of the code of behaviour.

A member subject to a refusal has the right to make their case to the committee by email before a final decision is made.

A member may resign their membership at any time. Any ‘unused’ membership fee is not reimbursable.
